: a woman's dressing room, bedroom, or private sitting room;
: a photographic style featuring intimate, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects
Boudoir photography is intimate, romantic, and possibly erotic photography, but for the women I have worked with it is also much more.
Photography can be a powerful way for a mother to reaffirm her beauty. It can be a way for an abuse survivor to assert ownership of her own sexuality, for a career professional to explore the creative process and be the subject of a work of art.
It can even simply be a gift, a generous and deeply intimate token of affection for a loved one... or for one’s own self.
My work is an ode to sensuality, and my goal is to provide you with a safe space to express your sensuality and reflect your natural beauty. I believe a photograph should reveal the soul as much as the body, and I have the experience to help you have a fantastic experience and breathtaking photos, even if you’ve never been in front of the camera before.

My Philosophy & Process
Photography can be an incredible way to express and explore the soul. It can reveal aspects of the subject’s personality, but also serve as a path to discovery. Dorothea Lange, one of the great American documentary photographers, once said that “the camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.” Not simply the technical aspects of ‘seeing’, such as appreciating light, shadow, shapes, and contrast, but also revealing aspects of others and ourselves that we aren’t consciously aware of. Popular culture is centered around making people feel inadequate so they can sell them on clothing, fad diets, or plastic surgery. We are conditioned to feel ashamed that we aren’t fit enough or good looking enough to be sexy, but the truth is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. From the perspective of someone who loves us, those features we have that we consider to be flaws are in fact endearing, unique, and sacred.
I love being able to use my skills and experience to help women create amazing photographs. I know firsthand how powerful and empowering it can be to see yourself in a new way (I’ve written a bit about my experience dealing with body image and being in front of the camera on my blog (click here), and I know how nerve-wracking it can be the first time you’re in front of the camera— I myself have done boudoir sessions as well.
I believe that the most beautiful and sensual boudoir sessions happen when the subject feels relaxed and confident, with everything else guided by that. Sessions go at a relaxed pace so that you can develop confidence as we go, and usually last around 4 hours. All sessions also include a professional makeup artist who will be on hand to make you look your best and take care of any touch-ups throughout the session.
