California Dreaming..

This show is about the complicated feelings and arcs of romantic relationships, phases of love and heartbreak, such as infatuation with the details of another and getting lost in their eyes, and the process of finding one's self again after a breakup. The work in this exhibition is shot entirely with available light, and my process involves spending over three hours working with each subject to build rapport and a relaxed natural feeling in the work. My work is intended to give viewers a glimpse of a sensual way of looking at the world and bodies, paying attention to broad shapes and subtle details.

官能と愛に影響を受けたシェーン・キングは、7年以上にわたりポートレートを作り続けています。
この展示会は、他人に夢中になり、溺れ、別れの後に自分自身を再び見つけ出す過程のような、色恋の複雑な感情や弧、愛と悲しみがテーマです。
今回の展示会での彼の作品は、全て自然光を利用し、各被写体と作品中で落ち着いた自然な気持ち作りのためそれぞれ3時間以上の撮影時間を費やしています。
彼の作品の幅広い姿や緻密な細部にご注目いただき、世界と身体のみかたの官能的な片鱗をご覧ください。
